GP Negligence
Our GP is usually the first person we turn to when we feel unwell. GPs must assess a patient properly and decide when it is appropriate to provide treatment themselves and when (and how quickly) it is appropriate to make an onward referral for more specialist input. Sometimes, if appropriate onward referrals are not made, the diagnosis of serious medical conditions can be missed or delayed.
Our medical negligence specialists have dealt with claims involving the delayed diagnosis of:
- Cancer
- Brain haemorrhage
- Meningitis
- Cauda Equina Syndrome
Our medical negligence team don’t just deal with delayed diagnosis claims. We also have experience of GP prescription error claims. The consequences can be very serious if your GP accidentally prescribes you the wrong drug or the incorrect dose of a drug you are already taking.
